Sep 9: I was scheduled off work (approved by my boss) to take ate Bertie to her scheduled colonoscopy but cancelled it the day before because Ate Bertie told me to save my leave and that she will just take a taxi and ask Nana (a friend)to accompany her. At around 12:30 pm, Nana called me at work and told me that they found something and that she will need to undergo surgery ASAP. After I hang up, I broke down and cry and called my boss for permission to leave early. I also called Larry to take off early to take me to the hospital. It was an hour drive from where we live. Of course, I called/text my siblings.
We got there around 2:00 p.m. I found out the real reason for the emergency surgery from the colonoscopy doctor: a perforation on her colon as she was starting the process..and because of that, she had to be rushed to the emergency room to repair the damage.
